HUFLIT receives educational quality accreditation certificates at the 2023-2024 academic year opening ceremony

Accordingly, HUFLIT received the Certificate of meeting institutional quality accreditation standards – Cycle 2 and the Certificates of programme quality accreditation for 3 programmes — Accounting, International Business and Economic Law — awarded by the Center for Education Accreditation – Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (CEA, VNU-HCM). For two consecutive years, HUFLIT has had 6 programmes assessed, all of which have been recognised for their educational quality.

At HUFLIT, assuring and improving training quality and caring for student life are always top priorities. Training programmes are continuously improved, updated and accredited, aiming at learning methods that offer rich, practice-oriented experiences and thereby equip students with a solid foundation of knowledge before they enter the labour market.

Speaking at the ceremony, MA. Ho Dac Hai Mien – Deputy Director of the Center for Education Accreditation – Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City shared: “For cycle 2, the University was assessed against a new set of standards. This set of standards was developed on the foundation of the standards of the ASEAN University Network (AUN-QA), with a full range of criteria to comprehensively assess all aspects of an institution’s and a programme’s operations. By taking part in assessment against this set of standards, together with the recommendations of the Educational Quality Accreditation Council, Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages – Information Technology will have many opportunities to improve and meet the ever-higher requirements of regional university quality standards.”    

Also at the ceremony, HUFLIT awarded 36 scholarships to the University valedictorian and programme valedictorians, along with many scholarships for new students such as the Connection scholarship, the scholarship for excellent students with foreign language certificates, the 100% Foreign Language scholarship, the 30% Foreign Language scholarship, the 100% Information Technology scholarship and the HUFLIT TESOL scholarship, with a total value of 1.7 billion VND.

On this occasion, HUFLIT also announced a student scholarship fund for the 2023 – 2024 academic year worth 11 billion VND. In addition to scholarships drawn from the University’s own fund, HUFLIT also received extensive support and accompaniment from businesses and benefactors with the shared aim of caring for students. Alongside this, HUFLIT regularly promotes partnership and cooperation activities with leading corporations and businesses across many fields, thereby enriching the learning experience, providing practical exposure early on, and creating more internship, field-study and employment opportunities for students while they are still at university. 

The close relationship between the University and businesses helps ensure that the curriculum meets the needs of the labour market and helps students become a valuable human resource for society. This strength was also noted by the quality accreditation team, which recorded a high level of employer satisfaction with the quality of graduates. 

Continuing to build on this spirit and determination to innovate and improve educational quality, the 2023 – 2024 academic year opening ceremony and the presentation of the educational quality accreditation certificates will be a driving force for the whole HUFLIT community to strive for new successes and to extend its brilliant journey in the cause of education in the future.
