HUFLIT MENTORING Season 1: The Mark of the Alumni Community on the Journey of Nurturing “Shining Seeds”

The telling figures and the mark of the alumni network

The “From Seed to Shine” journey concluded with impressive statistics: 469 mentoring sessions carried out, 56 Mentor – Mentee pairs connected, and 87.5% of pairs maintaining a schedule of meetings of 7 sessions or more.

To build such a solid foundation and those telling figures, the strong mark of those who went before cannot go unmentioned. Many HUFLIT alumni – people who have strode firmly on their career path – have now decided to return to their old school in the role of Mentor to guide the younger generation. This return is not simply an extracurricular activity, but the very way the knowledge, real-world experience and dedication spirit of HUFLIT people are continued and passed on through each generation.

Mentoring: Not walking the path for you, only accompanying and unlocking potential

The transmission from alumni has truly touched the hearts of those involved. For the Mentees, the value received goes far beyond theoretical frameworks.

Sharing emotionally at the closing ceremony, Uyển Kỳ – a Mentee of Season 1 – expressed: “What I treasure most is not the advice, but the fact that my Mentor helped me realise my own value and confidently go and find the answers for the choices ahead.”

Perhaps, that is also the most beautiful philosophy of mentoring activity. The Mentors do not choose to walk the Mentee’s path for them, but play the role of a persistent companion. Through empathetic listening and perspectives from someone who has been through their youth, the Mentor helps students see more clearly their own inner potential amid the countless turning points of a career.

The journey of growth still keeps moving forward

Season 1 of HUFLIT Mentoring has concluded, but the Mentees’ journey of growth and the cohesion of the alumni network will still continue. From the connecting bridges built today, HUFLIT is confident that there will be many more stories of self-development and brilliant shining to be written in the future.
