The “Sowing Spring” fundraising and donation desk

Opening the chain of activities of “Spring of Love” 2026 is the “Sowing Spring” fundraising and donation desk, held from 22/12/2025 to 20/01/2026 at Hall B – Su Van Hanh campus and the Building A hall – Hoc Mon campus (HUFLIT). Items still in good use such as warm clothes, scarves, footwear, backpacks, etc. were gathered, classified and brought to A Ma Trang Lơng Primary School, contributing to supporting the daily life of the people and the children during Tet.

The “New Books for You” book-exchange activity

Besides the fundraising activity, the “New Books for You” book-exchange activity was implemented by HVC with the desire to extend the life cycle of knowledge. At the book-exchange space, students brought children’s storybooks and educational books for children to exchange with the Club. Through this activity, HVC received books suitable for the children’s age.

The activity was organised carefully, with a reading corner for students and free drinks prepared by the Organising Board. In case they don’t exchange books, students can still donate books directly to the programme. Those books became precious gifts, contributing to enriching the local school library in the remote border area.

The “RẠN(G)” Talkshow

A notable highlight within the framework of the programme is the “RẠN(G)” Talkshow, which took place on the afternoon of 17/01/2026 at the 6th-floor Auditorium, Su Van Hanh campus (HUFLIT). The Talkshow had the participation of Miss Grand Vietnam 2022 – Đoàn Thiên Ân as the main speaker.

Through the speaker’s sincere sharing about the journey of growing up, facing the “cracks” in life, the talkshow brought HUFLIT students a space to listen, empathise and look back at themselves. The talkshow not only inspires but also contributes to spreading a positive message about accepting oneself and nurturing inner strength in the study and development journey of young people.

The “Spring Echoing on the Highlands” volunteer programme

Closing the chain of activities at the lecture hall is the “Spring Echoing on the Highlands” volunteer programme held at A Ma Trang Lơng Primary School. Right on the first day, the HUFLIT Volunteer Club members quickly coordinated to prepare the space, organise a children’s playground and an art-exchange programme for more than 300 pupils. The programme took place with many lively activities such as a recycled-fashion show, art performances, lion-dance exchange and giving 276 gifts to the pupils, bringing a bustling Spring atmosphere to the highland schoolyard.

Continuing the activities for pupils, on the second day of the programme, the HUFLIT Volunteer Club presented the “Lighting up the border area” project with a total length of 1.5 km. The project is the result of the joint effort of the collective of HUFLIT Volunteer Club members along with the support and contribution from the School’s teachers, with the desire to contribute to improving the living and travel conditions for local people. This is also seen as a premise for the Club to continue aiming at activities with more sustainable value in the future.

Besides the main activities, the 0-VND Stall was also organised so that people and children could directly choose items suitable to their needs. At the same time, the HUFLIT Volunteer Club presented books to the School’s library and put up propaganda boards with practical content such as preventing school violence, preventing hand-foot-mouth disease, preventing fire and explosion, and self-protection skills for pupils. These activities contribute to raising awareness, while aiming at the comprehensive development of the local children.

The “Spring of Love” programme 2026 – “Spring Echoing on the Highlands” is not only a journey to bring Tet to the highlands but also an occasion for HUFLIT students to directly experience, share and grow through each community activity. Amid the highland space, the smiles of the children and the sincere reception from the local people are exactly the motivation for the HUFLIT Volunteer Club to continue writing meaningful journeys, so that love is always extended on many roads ahead.

At the HUFLIT Faculty of Foreign Languages, M.A. Tran My Uyen (Vice Dean) goes by many names. Some call her “Ms My”; her students call her “mother”. Colleagues often compare her to Mother Au Co with a hundred children. Yet to become the “mother” of the lecture hall she is today, she went through a profound shift in thinking that completely changed a teaching philosophy built over more than 30 years.
