For students of Accounting, Auditing and Finance, gaining exposure to international professional certifications while still at university is an important advantage for building expertise and widening career opportunities.

Wishing to help students become familiar with international assessment standards, the HUFLIT Faculty of Economics and Finance organised the “ACCA Challenge 2026” competition, offering a simulated ACCA examination experience right on campus.

The competition was designed as a simulation of the ACCA examination, with a structure and time allowance similar to the official paper. The examination comprised two parts – multiple choice and problem questions – helping students become familiar with assessment to international standards while practising time management and composure under examination conditions.

From early in the morning, the competition area drew 50 students from the Faculty of Economics and Finance. After completing registration, candidates quickly settled into their places and began the paper in a serious atmosphere.

Unlike ordinary tests, candidates had to draw simultaneously on specialist knowledge, English reading comprehension and analytical ability to complete the paper within the time allowed. It was also an opportunity for each student to assess their own capability, identify the knowledge they need to strengthen and prepare better for the path towards international professional certifications in future.

Through this challenge, students gained a further opportunity to assess their own capability, identify areas to keep working on and prepare better for their studies as well as for obtaining international professional certifications in future.

After a fair and rigorous assessment process, the Organising Committee presented awards to the three highest-performing candidates:

First Prize: Vo Nguyen Khanh Ny

Second Prize: Le Thi Bich Tram

Third Prize: Do Thi Thu Trang

The prizes awarded are a deserved recognition of the candidates’ serious approach to study and thorough preparation. They are also a source of motivation for many students to keep taking part proactively in academic activities, accumulating experience and continuously developing themselves.

Continuing to walk alongside students

Through the “ACCA Challenge 2026”, the HUFLIT Faculty of Economics and Finance further affirms its commitment to training grounded in professional practice. It is also one demonstration of a curriculum built to international standards, enabling students to engage with and have the opportunity to obtain the ACCA qualification during their studies, and so be ready to integrate and develop in a global professional environment.

In the period ahead, the Faculty will continue to run practice-oriented activities to help students develop specialist knowledge, professional skills and the ability to integrate. This is the direction the Faculty consistently pursues in its training, aiming to equip students with a solid foundation before they enter a professional working environment.
