“A Decade” – Ten Years, a Journey of Gratitude by HUFLIT’s Faculty of Economics and Finance Students.
With meticulous investment in music, lighting, stage design, and content, “A Decade” delivered emotionally rich performances that wove together storytelling, acting, and music to recreate a ten-year journey of growth and remembrance.
As the annual musical theater program celebrating Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (November 20) organized by the Faculty of Economics and Finance, “A Decade” continued to assert its distinct identity as an artistic space where students express their heartfelt gratitude to lecturers.
Beyond revisiting highlights from previous seasons, this year’s production expanded into a deeper journey of appreciation, extending sincere thanks to the teachers who have quietly inspired and accompanied generations of HUFLIT students along their academic paths.
A Ten-Year Journey Where Memories and Gratitude Converge
“A Decade” was crafted as a journey traveling back through time. Each scene, every line of dialogue, and each musical note evoked cherished memories from ten seasons of appreciation. Carefully refined in every detail, the production allowed every audience member to find a reflection of themselves within this shared stream of memories.
Through the program, the Organizing Committee extends its most sincere gratitude to the lecturers—those who nurture dreams, illuminate knowledge, and remain a steadfast source of encouragement for students. Ten years of the program also mark ten years of dedication, gratitude, and countless hearts beating as one in appreciation.
Lasting Impressions from Heartfelt Reflections and Memorable Moments
During the program, Ms. Nguyễn Thị Xuân Lan – Head of the Faculty of Economics and Finance – shared sincere reflections with the students and the Organizing Committee. Her encouraging words provided renewed confidence and inspiration for students to continue striving and growing along their academic journey.
The program opened with a video retracing the nine-year journey of the event, capturing emotional milestones left by generations of students. Images of old classrooms, student memories, and youthful dreams were delicately recreated through each scene, evoking a deep sense of nostalgia and connection.
Looking back on the journeys of gratitude over the years, performances such as “AAA,” “Người Thầy,” “Người Thầy năm xưa,” “Cầm kỳ thi họa,” “Sống như những đóa hoa,” “Sao hạng A,” “Đậm đà,” and “Run” guided the audience through a wide range of emotions—moments of joy and laughter, quiet reflection, and even tears born of love and gratitude.
The characters on stage did not only tell their own stories but also spoke on behalf of the unspoken emotions carried by many generations of students—dreams, fears, uncertainty, self-doubt, and difficult times – all of which were ultimately soothed by the love of family, friends, and teachers.
The appearance of guest singer MANBO ignited the stage. With his powerful vocals and emotionally charged performances of “Legend” and “Hẹn gặp em dưới ánh trăng,” he created an electrifying atmosphere and left a lasting impression on HUFLITers.
“A Decade” was not merely an artistic production but a poignant reminder of gratitude—a feeling that remains ever-renewed through the years. Though the musical theater night came to a close, its resonance lingered in the hearts of all who attended.
