HUFLIT Tourism – Hospitality Students Send Melodies of Gratitude to Their “Silent Ferrymen”
Through the “Melodies of Gratitude” activity series celebrating Vietnamese Teachers’ Day 20/11, students came together to create a deeply meaningful season of appreciation.
From early November 2025, a vibrant, celebratory atmosphere spread across classrooms at HUFLIT’s Ba Gia and Hóc Môn campuses as the Youth Union – Student Association of the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality launched activities to honor teachers.
The activity series featured three main events: the “Frame of Gratitude” corner, where students shared heartfelt messages with their lecturers; the “Message of Appreciation” contest, which invited emotional and reflective writings; and the “Melodies of Gratitude” music night, a heartfelt performance program. Together, these activities created a warm, meaningful space for students to express admiration and appreciation for their teachers in sincere and touching ways.
Deep within the hearts of every generation of students lies a profound respect for the teacher–student bond. The Vietnamese Teachers’ Day 20/11 Appreciation Activity Series offered HUFLIT students a meaningful moment to come together and express sincere gratitude to the dedicated lecturers who have shaped the early strokes of their journey toward maturity. At the same time, the program honored and preserved the cultural value of “respecting teachers and cherishing knowledge,” reinforcing the importance of learning and lifelong inspiration.
With the desire to create a space for heartfelt appreciation, the “Frame of Gratitude” activity served as an emotional station where HUFLIT students—especially those from the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality—shared messages, reflections, and well-wishes for their lecturers. These thoughtful notes became invaluable gifts, conveying affection and gratitude to the teachers who continue to devote themselves wholeheartedly to the noble mission of education.
Following the heartfelt atmosphere of the “Frame of Gratitude” activity, the “Message of Appreciation” contest took place online from November 5 to November 11, 2025. The contest offered students a space to freely express their feelings and appreciation for their lecturers through creative, sincere, and emotionally rich video clips.
The Organizing Committee selected the three most outstanding and impressive entries, based on votes cast directly by students during the “Melodies of Gratitude” music night.
The “Melodies of Gratitude” music night offered a stage illuminated in soft pink hues—a space where emotions and cherished memories were retold through the universal language of the soul: music. The program revived the tender hearts that know how to love, to care, and to feel, yet may have been forgotten amid the fast pace of everyday life.
It was also at this venue that the quiet thoughts of students—often too shy to express—were finally heard, shared, and, most importantly, spoken aloud in the form of “thank you” and “sorry” to their beloved teachers. Words that, on ordinary days, many may hesitate to say. In those moments, music became the voice of gratitude, conveying what words alone could not, allowing everyone to “return” to the simplest yet most sacred sentiments—the warmth of the teacher–student bond.
Carrying a message woven deeply into the program — “One does not need the spotlight of a grand stage to shine; simply standing at the familiar lectern, delivering simple lessons, teachers radiate brilliance in their own unique way.” Teachers do not seek grandeur; they quietly devote themselves to their students with unwavering passion. And the light they long for most is the glow of their students’ success — the radiance of achievement, the beauty of growth day by day.
The “Melodies of Gratitude” music night became even more meaningful with the participation of Ms. Đinh Thị Trà Nhi, Lecturer of the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality, whose performance symbolized the wholehearted support and companionship that the Faculty’s lecturers extend to their students.
The Youth Union – Student Association of the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality extends its warmest and most respectful wishes to all HUFLIT lecturers on the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day 20/11. Through the program, the Organizing Committee hopes to spread a meaningful message: “Gratitude is not confined to a single event — it is a continuous journey of appreciation.” As long as there are hearts willing to bow in thanks, there will always be dedicated teachers guiding, nurturing, and accompanying generations of students on their path to growth..
