HUFLIT’s Law Major Top Scorer – When a Heart That Loves Literature Chooses to Write Justice
From a passion for literature to a dream of studying Law at HUFLIT, the journey of Tường Vi, HUFLIT’s 2025 Law Top Scorer, is one of courage and self-discovery.
That morning, on her way home, Vi received the message that she had become the Top Scorer in Law for HUFLIT’s 2025 admission cycle.
“I felt happy, proud, and deeply touched,” she shared. After moments of confusion and searching for herself through the written word, Vi knew she had finally chosen the right path.
A love for literature and the journey of finding herself
Vi has always had a deep passion for literature. From Vietnamese classics to world stories, she found in words the beauty of life and humanity. This love helped her achieve many accomplishments in Literature throughout her school years.
“I received a provincial consolation prize in Literature, second prize in the writing contest. Second prize in Dreams and Aspirations contest, and second prize in the storytelling contest Role Models Following Uncle Ho’s Example — those were proud moments for me,” Vi recalled.
However, there were also times when Vi faced emotional struggles. Academic pressure and uncertainty about her future made her withdraw into herself.
“It was a very difficult time for me,” she admitted.
“At first, I didn’t choose to study Law. I enrolled in another major but soon realized it wasn’t right for me,” Vi shared.
During that period, literature became her safe haven.
“Through books, I met people with great strength — those who faced hardships with courage. That taught me the value of perseverance,” Vi said, referring to her favorite book One Liter of Tears by Kito Aya — a girl who battled an incurable disease for over 20 years.
“I believe literature has the power to heal a person,” Vi expressed, describing how words once saved her.
Choosing law – because justice has its own language
Through exploring different forms of literature, Vi gradually developed an admiration for what she calls “the words of reason.” From there, her interest in Law began to grow.
“I once helped out at a local court. That experience made me realize that my love for words connects with the field of law — I enjoy precise and logical writing,” Vi shared.
Working in a court environment, Vi felt grateful to learn from devoted professionals.
“I witnessed how they worked with both mind and heart to protect people’s legitimate rights. That inspired me deeply,” she said.
From that moment, Vi knew she wanted to become someone like them.
Finding motivation again at HUFLIT
HUFLIT is where Vi chose to turn her dream of “writing justice” into reality.
“After three weeks of studying here, I truly feel I made the right choice,” Vi shared.
What impressed her most about HUFLIT was the classroom atmosphere:
“I’ve found my motivation to study again. I really like how classes are open and interactive. I appreciate how our lecturers let students question, make mistakes, and learn. There are no rigid limits — we’re free to approach knowledge in our own ways,” Vi added.
Looking back, Vi feels a quiet pride. From moments of uncertainty and doubt, she now smiles with confidence, knowing she has chosen the right major and the right place to grow.
From literature to Law major – A journey of self-awareness
From her love for words to her pursuit of Law at HUFLIT, Vi’s journey is a story of a young person brave enough to listen to her heart and follow what truly inspires her.
“I feel so lucky to be studying a major I love, in a learning environment that suits me — HUFLIT has helped me rediscover my passion and motivation,” Vi shared.
Her story is one of courage — the courage to “choose again,” to step back and realign with her true passion, even when the choice wasn’t easy.
Tường Vi’s journey reminds us that what truly guides young people on their path of growth is not only knowledge or skills, but also a brave heart that dares to listen to itself. Thank you, Tường Vi, for sharing your inspiring story with HUFLIT — one that will continue to encourage many young dreamers to follow their hearts.
