Announcement of Student Exchange Program at Wonkwang University, Korea Fall Semester 2024

• Number: 2 students
• Exchange period: 1 semester or 2 semesters, starting from the first semester of the 2024-2025 academic year
• Program: in Korean

1.Conditions:

• Currently a 3rd year student or higher majoring in Korean Studies;
• Have Korean proficiency level TOPIK 2 or higher;
• Students must open a bank account with a minimum of 9,000 USD (about 250,000,000 VND) at least 03 months before the visa application date (around August 2024) and must maintain the balance throughout the application process, at least until the visa is granted. This account can be in the name of the parent/financial sponsor, but must have a household registration/birth certificate to prove the family relationship.

2.Application documents: Students prepare and submit all of the following documents:

Note: All documents above must be in English or Korean. If in Vietnamese, they must be notarized and translated into English or Korean.

3. Rights and obligations:

a. Benefits:

• 100% tuition and application fee waiver at WKU;
• Transcripts are issued upon completion of the program;
• The results of studying abroad are considered for credit transfer back to HUFLIT if they are equivalent to the subjects in the program at HUFLIT. The maximum number of credits transferred is 25% of the total credits in the training program. (For example, if the training program consists of 100 credits, the maximum number of credits that can be transferred is 25 credits)

b. Obligations:

• Self-pay all other expenses incurred during the exchange program;
• Pay the application consultation support fee according to HUFLIT’s regulations;
• Pay tuition fees corresponding to the subjects considered for equivalent recognition before departure;
• Specific information on tuition and fees will be sent after students have their visa .

4. The application process is as follows:

• Faculty notice to students;
• Eligible students register at Link;
• The Faculty sends the nomination list to the Foreign Affairs Department before 16:30 on June 21, 2024 (the list must clearly state full name, student ID, email, phone number, passport number and time of exchange). If the number of applications is greater than the number of partners required, the Foreign Affairs Department will organize the selection of suitable students and notify the Faculty. Otherwise, the nomination list from the Faculty will be the official list of participants);
• After receiving information from the Faculty about the admission, students should quickly submit their application to the Foreign Affairs Office before 4:30 p.m. on June 27, 2024.
