HUFLIT students receive LOTTE scholarships, 2nd batch, 2018
On the morning of October 24, 2018, at Legend Saigon Hotel (2A Ton Duc Thang, District 1), LOTTE Group solemnly held the LOTTE Scholarship Awarding Ceremony for 54 excellent students from 9 universities in Ho Chi Minh City. This is not only an annual activity of LOTTE Group in Vietnam but also a beautiful feature in the friendly relationship between Vietnam and Korea.

In addition to the leaders of the Group’s member units (General Director of Lotte Mart, General Director of Lotte Cinema, General Director of Legend Saigon Hotel, General Director of Lotte Homeshopping, General Director of Lotte Construction Company, General Director of Lotte Financial Investment Company), the ceremony was also honored to have the presence of Mr. Lim Jae Hyun – Consul General of Korea in Ho Chi Minh City to congratulate the Vietnamese students who received scholarships.
In particular, in this ceremony, Nguyen Ngoc Kim Chi, a 4th year student of the Faculty of International Relations of HUFLIT, was honored to be invited to represent all the students present in the program to speak. She shared that the opportunity to receive a scholarship from LOTTE Group not only provides financial support but also motivates them to strive harder in their studies. Kim Chi especially expressed her deep gratitude to LOTTE Group and LOTTE Foundation Scholarship Fund.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Vinh Tran – Head of Foreign Affairs – General Affairs – Administration and Ms. Tran Thuy Tuyet Nhung – Specialist of Foreign Affairs Department represented Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages - Information Technology to attend the ceremony with 8 most outstanding students from 8 Faculties and Departments in the school.

Since 2008, the LOTTE Scholarship Foundation under the LOTTE Group has awarded two annual scholarships with a total value of more than 1.5 million USD. At this ceremony, the LOTTE Group awarded a total scholarship value equivalent to nearly 500 million VND to students from 9 major universities in Ho Chi Minh City, each worth 350 USD. These are all students with excellent academic achievements and overcoming difficulties to rise up in life.
The day before, the LOTTE Foundation also awarded 78 scholarships to students from universities in Hanoi.
