The opening session was the thematic report “Forever the revolutionary path of youth” shared by Master Dang Van Khoa – Political Theory Reporter of the Central Youth Union. At the report, Master Khoa outlined the biography and revolutionary activities of comrade Ly Tu Trong, a great revolutionary spirit, a shining example for future generations to follow. Through that, the reporter conveyed valuable and inspirational lessons, calling on HUFLIT youth to study and follow the revolutionary ideals of comrade Ly Tu Trong, continuing to promote the spirit of fighting for noble ideals.
With a vivid approach through interactive games and illustrations, the reporter made the content more familiar and inspiring, highlighting the noble revolutionary spirit of comrade Ly Tu Trong, leaving a deep impression in the hearts of union members and youth participating in the thematic report.
Next, from October 17 to 20, 2024, the School Youth Union organized an online contest “Learning about the life and revolutionary career of comrade Ly Tu Trong” on the Moodle system and deployed on the community page “Youth Union – HUFLIT Student Association”, for union members and young people studying at the school. The content of the contest revolved around the life and revolutionary career of the first member of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, with reference materials from books such as “Portrait of Hero Ly Tu Trong through Historical Documents” by author Duong Trong Phuc, documentary film “Ly Tu Trong – the one who spread the fire”.
In just a short time since its launch, the contest has received enthusiastic participation from 1,593 union members and youths of the school. At the end of the contest, the school’s Union has found 03 outstanding union members and youths who won high prizes in the contest:
First Prize: Student Huynh Ly Phuong Nghi – Faculty of Foreign Languages.
Second Prize: Student Truong Nguyen Ngoc Suong – Faculty of Foreign Languages.
Third Prize: Student Dang Cao Khiem – Faculty of Foreign Languages.
Through propaganda activities to celebrate the 110th anniversary of Comrade Ly Tu Trong’s birthday (October 20, 1914 – October 20, 2024), more than ever, the saying “The path of youth is only the revolutionary path, there can be no other path” further urges HUFLIT youth today to strive to study, practice, take the lead in the scientific and technological revolution, fight uncompromisingly against negative phenomena and social evils; believe in and be loyal to the Party’s revolutionary cause, raise vigilance, defeat the peaceful evolution strategy of hostile forces to protect the achievements of the revolution.
