“GenZ Major Insights 2026” – Episode 9: Boundless Journeys with HUFLIT’s Tourism and Hospitality ProgramsMany students choose the Tourism and Hospitality field simply because they love to travel. But passion alone is not enough to pursue this field in the long run. What matters more is understanding the nature of the discipline, its professional requirements, and the qualities needed to grow in a professional service environment.
“DREAM” – A tribute to the silent teachers
Since the end of October 2024, the atmosphere welcoming Vietnamese Teachers’ Day November 20 of the Tourism – Hospitality Faculty Union has been filled with color and excitement with 03 activities: the emotional “Gratitude Podcast”, the creative “Gratitude Card” contest and the artistic “Gratitude Performance” program.
These activities are not only an opportunity for HUFLIT students to express their deep gratitude to the dedicated teachers who have been contributing to nurturing the knowledge and souls of generations of students, but also create a warm space, honoring the beautiful culture of “Respecting teachers”, inspiring the spirit of learning and promoting knowledge.
“Gratitude Podcast” is a bridge for HUFLITers to express their deep gratitude and send their most sincere wishes to their beloved teachers, and is the opening activity for the series of programs. With the desire to create a space for students and union members to express their feelings, the program brings messages of love, becoming a priceless spiritual gift for teachers, staff and workers who are dedicating themselves to HUFLIT in this season of gratitude.
Continuing the exciting atmosphere of the series of activities, the “Gratitude Cards” Contest was held on October 31, 2024 at That Son campus (HUFLIT). Here, students expressed their creativity and feelings through beautiful handwritten cards, accompanied by sincere wishes to their teachers. With ingenuity and meticulousness, each card is a work of art made with all their heart. The Organizing Committee selected the 3 best teams with impressive cards and lovely wishes, becoming the winners of this meaningful contest.
On the evening of November 7, 2024, at the 6th Floor Hall, Su Van Hanh Campus (HUFLIT), the Tourism – Hospitality Faculty Union organized the “Gratitude Performance” activity with the theme “Dream , ” bringing a musical stage to dramatize the story that all HUFLIT students experienced during their time at the University.
From the time of eagerly waiting for the news of passing the university entrance exam to the turning points in adulthood, stories about friendship and the thoughts of students at that time were expressed through songs performed by HUFLIT students themselves.
At that age of uncertainty and worries, teachers are like fathers, mothers, and friends who always accompany, share, care, and encourage all students, helping them overcome many difficulties in life as well as in study and work.
And then it is the nurturing efforts of the teachers that have supported and empowered the students to stand firmly on their own feet, be more confident in the path they have chosen, confidently move towards the future and shine like a star in the blue sky because their efforts have been rewarded.
At the event, MSc. Le Huu Chau – Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Tourism – Hospitality , Dr. Vo Thi Bich Hanh – Secretary of the Party Cell of the Faculty of Tourism – Hospitality , and participating teachers shared extremely meaningful messages to the students attending the program and the members of the Organizing Committee.
The “Gratitude Performance” activity was even more meaningful with the appearance of a special character, Ms. Dinh Thi Tra Nhi – Lecturer of the Faculty of Tourism – Hotel . She joined the program to show the wholehearted support and companionship from the Teachers of the Faculty of Tourism – Hotel for the students.
To have a complete and meaningful Cultural Night, we cannot fail to mention the talented students of HUFLIT, who together with the Organizing Committee created a program with unforgettable impressions, eye-catching and extremely attractive performances.
Through the series of activities, we hope that HUFLIT students had wonderful moments to express their gratitude to their beloved teachers, and at the same time review the tradition of “Respecting teachers and valuing education”, “When drinking water, remember its source”, a beautiful tradition that has become a noble and sacred morality of the Vietnamese people.
The Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality would like to send our best wishes and warmest greetings to all teachers working at HUFLIT on the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day, November 20.
