HUFLITers improve knowledge of digital transformation applications through academic competition
The contest “Application of Digital Transformation in Association Work” is not only an opportunity for students to exchange, connect and improve their knowledge about Digital Transformation, but also helps spread the meaning of the movement, while creating an environment for students to develop skills and criteria towards the title “5 Good Students”.
“5 Good Students” is a noble title for students. However, many students do not fully understand the criteria and have difficulty completing their application. In addition, staff also face many difficulties in the process of synthesizing evidence, evaluating and verifying. Therefore, grasping the necessity and importance of the above issues and promoting innovative ideas, the Information Technology Faculty Union organized the “Application of Digital Transformation in Association Work” Contest with the theme “5 Good Students” with the Jury and Advisory Board of the Contest being the most impartial judges to find the best teams, including:
– Ms. Phan Ngoc Lan Chi – Reporter of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper; Former Officer of Propaganda Department of Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union – Contest Judge.
– Dr. Huynh Ngoc Thanh – Former lecturer of the School of Management Cadres (Ministry of Education and Training); Deputy Dean – Faculty of Educational Sciences, Binh Duong University.
– MSc. Huynh Thanh Loc – Lecturer of HUFLIT Faculty of Information Technology – Contest Advisory Board.
– Comrade Nguyen Vo Huyen Tram – President of the School Student Association – Contest Judges.
The contest “Application of Digital Transformation in Association Work” has attracted many teams from faculties at Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages and Information Technology to participate. Through the online qualifying round on the MyAloha application, the Organizing Committee has found 04 excellent teams to participate in the Final Round. In addition to creating a useful playground, finding talents in the field of Digital Transformation, the Contest also equips students with new and interesting knowledge in this field.
The qualifying round will take place on December 17, 2024 with a test consisting of 30 questions synthesizing knowledge about Digital Transformation and the Vietnam Student Association. Teams will take the test online via the MyAloha application in the form of multiple choice in 30 minutes and the 4 excellent teams that complete the test with the highest scores in the shortest time will advance to the Final Round.
On the afternoon of January 4, 2025, at the 6th floor Hall, Su Van Hanh campus (HUFLIT), the Final Round of the “Application of Digital Transformation in Association Work” Contest took place with the participation of the 4 best teams and the encouragement of HUFLIT students. Here, each team has 20 minutes to present a simulation of ideas in the form of Infographics, demonstrating the content of instructions to achieve the title of “5 Good Students” through the application of information technology (website, software). After that, the Jury will ask questions to evaluate the teams’ analytical and critical abilities and score based on the established criteria.
After many tough and challenging competitions, the “Red Flag” team finally won the championship of the “Application of Digital Transformation in Association Work” Contest. The runner-up position belonged to the “La Bait” team, and the “SMADT ” team brought home the third prize and the Creativity Award.
Besides the winning teams in the Final Round of the competition, student Huynh Duc Hieu – Faculty of Law, member of La Bait team, excellently won the Challenge “Who is the Technology Fairy?” with the article Introducing the Cambridge Dictionary technology software, excellently scoring points with the Judges.
The Final Round also officially concluded the “Application of Digital Transformation in Association Work” Contest with wonderful moments. Hopefully, through the contest, HUFLIT students have gained more useful information to approach the title of “5 Good Students” as well as have a new, more modern and creative perspective on the Association work and student movement of HUFLIT.
