Economic Law – Bridging Law and Modern Business

The Economic Law program at HUFLIT trains students to become legal professionals who think with economic insight and deeply understand the business environment. The curriculum integrates legal knowledge and economics, helping students master legal regulations in commerce, investment, finance, and corporate governance.

With a practical orientation, students are exposed to concrete legal scenarios, honing skills in analysis, consultancy, and dispute resolution in the economic domain. In addition, some specialized courses are taught in English to enhance students’ foreign language competence and international readiness.

3. Key Distinctive Features of the Program

Diverse specializations aligned with integration trends: Students may choose among three specializations: Business Law, International Trade Law, and Finance–Banking Law, matching workforce needs in key economic sectors.
Bilingual instruction to strengthen foreign language skills: Some specialist courses are delivered in English, enabling students to engage with international-level materials.
Practical exposure and enterprise linkage: The “Awareness Internship” begins in Year 2, and students engage with real-world settings in companies, courts, and law offices, applying legal knowledge in practice and accumulating professional experience.

Possess in-depth knowledge of economic law, commerce, investment, and finance
Analyze, advise, and resolve legal disputes in business contexts
Draft legal documents and commercial contracts
Communicate, present, and work effectively in teams
Use English fluently in the area of economic law

5. Teaching Methods

The training program employs active learning methods, combining theory with practice. Students engage in discussions, mock trials, legal case resolution, and internships at agencies and enterprises. Lecturers are practitioners and legal experts who continuously update knowledge and support student learning.

General knowledge courses: Philosophy, Economics, Sociology, Foreign Language, Computer Science…
Foundational legal knowledge: Constitutional Law, Civil Law, Administrative Law, Criminal Law…
Specialized knowledge:
- Business Law: corporate law, commercial contracts, competition law…
- International Trade Law: international trade regulation, dispute resolution in global trade…
- Finance – Banking Law: financial law, banking law, securities law…
Internship and graduation thesis: Students intern at agencies and enterprises and complete a thesis under supervision.

7. Career Opportunities

After graduation, Economic Law students may take on roles such as:

Legal officer in corporations, banks, or financial organizations
Lawyer or legal assistant in law firms or legal service companies
Legal counsel in regulatory bodies, NGOs, or government agencies
Consultancy in business, investment, and trade law
Lecturer or researcher in academic institutions or research centers

The starting salary ranges from 6 to 12 million VND per month, depending on the position and individual capability. With experience and higher professional qualifications, the income can reach 15 to 20 million VND per month or more.
