HUFLIT students catch up with Marketing trends through the Workshop “The Prominent Among The Successful Brands in Vietnam in 2023
The workshop “The Prominent Among The Successful Brands in Vietnam in 2023” organized by the HUFLIT Faculty of Foreign Languages provided a more accessible perspective on the concept and basic knowledge of Social Marketing for students majoring in Business English.
Today, technology has become an indispensable part of life and has a strong impact on the development of Digital Marketing. This exciting new field has attracted the attention of a large number of young people, but it is also a challenge for students because it requires in-depth knowledge and formal training for businesses. Therefore, grasping trends and improving knowledge is crucial for students to seize future job opportunities. Understanding this, the HUFLIT Faculty of Foreign Languages organized the Workshop “The Prominent Among The Successful Brands in Vietnam in 2023.”
Accompanying the students at the program was CEO Phan Bich Tam – National Director of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) in the UK and Vietnam. With over 12 years of experience, Ms. Bich Tam has held many important positions such as Regional Business Development Director and Managing Director in various businesses such as Netherland Company, Google, Lac Viet, etc. She was also the person chosen to implement the Sales & Marketing strategy for Google Vietnam and Lac Viet.
According to the speaker, “Gen Z is the generation that has been exposed to 4.0 technology a lot, but they seem to be spending too much time surfing the internet without making the most of it.” Understanding this situation, speaker Phan Bich Tam and the students discussed how to equip students with knowledge and skills in Marketing, Business, and Creative fields.
Through relatable examples of popular platforms such as Tiktok, Shopee, etc., students have somewhat grasped the concept of Marketing. Moreover, students also had the opportunity to learn and interact with the speaker through a case study about the “63 in 1” campaign of Bia Saigon, the Livestream campaign on Tiktok of L’OREAL, or the campaign through Shopee of Unilever.
Currently, students can easily find free online courses to equip themselves with more soft skills. The speaker hopes that young people can take advantage of all available information to make themselves stand out more. And this is also the message that the Mobile Marketing Association of Vietnam wants to send to students through this meaningful activity.
