At the Voice UP – #1 “Journey of Self-discovery” talkshow, participants learned valuable experiences through three stages: “Discover”, “Challenge”, and “Breakthrough”. These stages revolved around helping members and students identify who they are, their capabilities, and how to develop their strengths confidently. In addition, the guest speaker guided participants to break free from their own thought patterns and overcome challenges to apply in real life.
One of the messages Miss Earth Nguyen Phuong Khanh conveyed to the students is “Try if you want, do if you’re passionate.” She shared that trying to challenge oneself is the only way to discover one’s strengths and desires, which are the keys to success. Moreover, she advised the participants not to fear failure, as excessive fear can cause missed opportunities, and one may have to wait a long time for them to come back. Even in failure, individuals can learn that certain paths are not suitable for them, saving them time in the long run.
Miss Earth Nguyen Phuong Khanh also provided honest and practical advice, as well as alternative solutions for the problems participants may be facing. Additionally, she shared useful tips for speaking in front of a crowd, empowering the students to be more confident and assertive in public speaking and presentations.
“If we do not understand ourselves and fear life’s challenges, it is not something new. If we accept to challenge ourselves and courageously embrace failures, we will know ‘Who I am’ and ‘What I want.’ To achieve this, while sitting in the school seats, while we are young, passionate, and have plenty of opportunities, let’s not be too afraid; just do what we love. Everyone should challenge themselves every day and strive to become a better version of themselves than yesterday”, Miss Earth Nguyen Phuong Khanh shared at the end of the talkshow.
The HUFLIT Student Union and HUFLIT MICs hope that with these interesting shares from the guest speaker, the members and students of HUFLIT have gained valuable knowledge to apply in their academic and practical life.
