HUFLIT announces the guaranteed threshold for admission quality based on the method of evaluating the high school graduation exam results in 2023
On July 24, 2023, the Admission Council of HUFLIT announced the guaranteed threshold for admission quality based on the method of evaluating the high school graduation exam results in 2023. This threshold is applicable to 18 undergraduate majors under the regular system, following the admission evaluation process regulated by the Ministry of Education and Training. The admission score threshold ranges from 15 to 16 points.
The guaranteed threshold for admission quality based on the method of evaluating the high school graduation exam results in 2023 for the following majors is as follows:
- English Language, Chinese Language, and Information Technology: The guaranteed threshold is 16 points.
- Other majors: The minimum admission score is 15 points.

Note:
The guaranteed threshold for admission quality is the total score of the three subjects in the admission combination, plus the priority score (if any).
The priority score applies as follows:
- Priority score for Area 1: 0.75 points
- Priority score for Rural Area (Area 2): 0.5 points
- Priority score for Area 2: 0.25 points
- Area 3 does not receive any priority score.
The priority score for Priority Group 1 (including candidates in categories 01 to 04) is 2.0 points, and for Priority Group 2 (including candidates in categories 05 to 07) is 1.0 point.
In 2023, the priority score for candidates who achieve a total score of 22.5 or higher (when converted to a 10-point scale, with a maximum total score of 30) is determined using the following formula: Priority Score = [(30 – total achieved score)/7.5] x the priority score level defined above.
Instructions for registering preferences on the Ministry of Education and Training’s information portal:
Candidates who have completed the high school graduation exam in 2023, meet the conditions to be recognized as high school graduates, and have a total admission score equal to or above the guaranteed threshold mentioned above can register for admission to HUFLIT on the Ministry of Education and Training’s common website for university admission from July 10th to 5:00 PM on July 30th, 2023, during the registration and adjustment period for university preferences.
