HUFLIT announces the guaranteed threshold for admission quality based on the method of evaluating the high school graduation exam results in 2023On July 24, 2023, the Admission Council of HUFLIT announced the guaranteed threshold for admission quality based on the method of evaluating the high school graduation exam results in 2023. This threshold is applicable to 18 undergraduate majors under the regular system, following the admission evaluation process regulated by the Ministry of Education and Training. The admission score threshold ranges from 15 to 16 points.

On May 23rd, 2022, the Faculty of Foreign Languages organized a seminar for lecturers with the theme “Multiculturalism and social change in modern American literature”. The keynote speaker was Professor Dr. Robert Adams, a Fulbright scholar from Florida Atlantic University (USA).

According to Professor Robert, modern American literature in the 20th and 21st centuries has been influenced by global social and cultural changes, such as the end of colonialism and the subsequent shift towards globalization, nationalism and ethnic movements, Marxist philosophy, the women’s liberation movement, the environmental protection movement, spiritual and religious beliefs, and more.

The faculty lecturers engaged in discussions and listened to Professor Robert’s insights on issues related to contemporary American authors, literary works, teaching methods in literature, and incorporating current global issues such as environment, gender, multiculturalism, etc., into the classroom.
