On May 13, 2023, the vibrant atmosphere at HUFLIT’s Su Van Hanh Campus was filled with excitement as the university successfully hosted “Chinese Day.” The event attracted a large number of students, particularly those from the Chinese Language Studies program, creating a lively celebration of Chinese culture and heritage. Designed as both an educational platform and a creative playground, “Chinese Day” left a lasting impression on all participants.

The event aimed to foster a deeper appreciation for the Chinese language, history, and culture among HUFLIT students. It featured a series of dynamic activities, each thoughtfully curated to engage students and inspire a love for Chinese traditions.

One of the highlights was the Exhibition Booths, where students had the opportunity to explore artifacts, pictures, and informational displays showcasing various aspects of Chinese customs and heritage. These booths offered a unique glimpse into the richness of Chinese traditions, sparking curiosity and conversations about the country’s cultural legacy.

The Recycled Fashion Show added an innovative touch to the event. Students designed and modeled creative outfits inspired by Chinese culture, all made from recycled materials. This activity not only celebrated cultural aesthetics but also promoted environmental awareness and sustainability, highlighting the ingenuity and resourcefulness of HUFLIT students.

Another engaging feature was the Character Cosplay, where students brought iconic figures from Chinese history and literature to life through elaborate costumes and captivating performances. These portrayals brought a sense of vibrancy and storytelling to the event, allowing participants to connect with China’s historical and literary richness on a personal level.

The Talent Competition was a platform for students to showcase their artistic abilities while embracing traditional Chinese cultural elements. From singing and dancing to theatrical performances, the stage came alive with creativity and enthusiasm. Each act was a testament to the participants’ dedication to celebrating and sharing their passion for Chinese culture.

Beyond its cultural offerings, “Chinese Day” provided a space for students to develop essential skills such as creativity, communication, and teamwork. The event fostered connections among like-minded individuals, creating a sense of community and shared passion for learning. Students were able to step out of their comfort zones, interact with peers, and celebrate their mutual interest in Chinese culture in a supportive and dynamic environment.

As the day concluded, it was clear that “Chinese Day” was more than just an event—it was a memorable experience that enriched campus life at HUFLIT. The success of the event has sparked anticipation for future editions, with promises of making “Chinese Day” an annual tradition. This celebration not only highlighted the enthusiasm and talent of HUFLIT’s Chinese Language Studies students but also reinforced the university’s commitment to promoting cultural exchange and holistic education.
