Surpassing more than 250 entries from universities and colleges nationwide, Lê Phạm Minh Anh, a student majoring in Chinese Language from the Faculty of Foreign Languages at HUFLIT, advanced to the final round and earned a Consolation Prize at the National Chinese Speech Contest – Da Nang 2024. The competition took place at Duy Tan University (Da Nang).
Recently, the final round of the National Chinese Speech Contest – Da Nang 2024 was held at Duy Tan University (DUT) under the theme “The Role of Vietnamese Youth in Promoting Vietnam-China Friendship.” The competition was co-organized by the Union of Friendship Organizations of Da Nang City, the Vietnam-China Friendship Association of Da Nang, the Consulate General of China in Da Nang, VTV8 (Vietnam Television – Central and Central Highlands region), and other relevant units. The event aimed to emphasize the role of youth in fostering and strengthening the traditional Vietnam-China friendship, especially in celebration of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and China (January 18, 1950 – January 18, 2025).
After nearly two months of launching, this year’s competition attracted 250 submissions from 40 universities, academies, and Chinese language centers across 18 provinces and cities nationwide. Contestants had to go through two preliminary rounds before advancing to the final round. In addition to delivering a speech on a given topic, finalists also showcased their talents and answered questions from the jury in a draw-based format to determine the most outstanding contestant.

This year, the Faculty of Foreign Languages at HUFLIT continued to encourage students to participate in this prestigious competition, receiving great enthusiasm from Chinese Language majors. With the support of lecturers from the Chinese Language Department, the faculty selected two students to represent HUFLIT in the second preliminary round of the competition.

Excelling in the second preliminary round, Lê Phạm Minh Anh was among the top 32 outstanding contestants who advanced to the final round. She put in her best efforts and proudly earned the Consolation Prize as well as the “Most Impressive Preliminary Video” Award.
