Spreading a culture of scientific research for a better life

Science and technology is one of the core missions of Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages – Information Technology (HUFLIT), contributing to better training quality and affirming the academic standing of the University.

The Office of Postgraduate Training – Science and Technology is the focal unit advising on, developing and managing science and technology plans; monitoring implementation, evaluating and accepting research results; supporting the registration and protection of intellectual property rights; and promoting the dissemination of research findings through conferences and seminars.

The Science and Technology portal (STA) presents the functions, duties and the full range of the University’s science and technology activities: legal documents, project registration procedures, the research results database and the academic profiles of lecturers.

Scientific publications

For scientific publications, the Office of Postgraduate Training – Science and Technology encourages and supports learners, lecturers and researchers to publish articles in prestigious, highly ranked journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science (ISI), in journals credited by the State Council of Professors, and at international and domestic conferences.

These are academic databases of international scope, widely used to assess the quality and impact of research works. Increasing both the number and the quality of Scopus/ISI articles strengthens research capacity, promotes international academic collaboration, raises the visibility of researchers and affirms the academic position and reputation of the University within the domestic and international scientific community.

Scientific research

Research projects already carried out

Scientific research projects at HUFLIT fall into three main groups: institutional-level projects, science and technology deployment projects, and science and technology innovation projects. In addition, the University carries out cooperative research projects with agencies, organisations and partners outside the University.

Information on completed and ongoing projects is managed and updated centrally in the University’s Science and Technology Results Database. Regulations, dossiers and registration forms for research projects are provided under “Research projects” on the HUFLIT Science and Technology portal.
