TÁC GIẢ: Faculty of Foreign Languages
NGÀY: 24/02/2024

With the aim of sparking creativity and providing a relaxing space after hours of studying, the Faculty of Foreign Languages organized a series of workshops on Singing, Dancing, and Painting.

Creativity is always an intriguing topic, allowing us to showcase our knowledge, passion, and exploration. It is also an essential factor in academic work, driving innovation and efficiency in the learning process. The workshop series was attended by ThS. Trần Mỵ Uyên – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, along with three invited speakers: ThS. Võ Trọng Phúc – Lecturer at the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Painter Phạm Minh Hoàng, and Dancer Trần Thảo Ly.

During the workshop, ThS. Trần Mỵ Uyên shared: “The faculty hopes that this workshop series will not only be a place for students to ignite their creative passions but also provide a space to relax and recharge before the new academic year begins.”

The Painting workshop, titled “Illustrating Ideas with Isometric Grid,” was led by Painter Phạm Minh Hoàng (also known as “Người Đá”). A former HUFLIT student, Phạm Minh Hoàng combined his past professional knowledge with his current career as an illustrator to create many impressive works loved by the community. During the workshop, he carefully guided students on how to depict 3D images in a 2D space (Isometric) and the basic techniques to create images using this method.

The “host” of the Singing workshop, “The Color of Sound,” was ThS. Võ Trọng Phúc, a lecturer at the Faculty of Foreign Languages, and also known as a freelance singer with a captivating performance style. Over the course of 90 minutes, he ignited a passion for music in the students by helping them practice vocal techniques like professional singers, while also exploring and discussing the charm of classic songs like “The Sound of Music” and “Edelweiss”.

At the same time, students had a fantastic experience participating in the Dance workshop: “Telling Stories Through Movement.” This workshop provided a wonderful opportunity for those who love body movement to release energy and shine. Under the careful guidance of dancer Trần Thảo Ly, the atmosphere of the workshop became lively and dynamic. Students were guided step-by-step through each movement in a methodical and professional manner, learning not only the techniques but also the grace and fluidity in every gesture

  • Proud to be HUFLITers #07 | M.A. Tran My Uyen – A lectern where a teacher wishes only to “watch her children grow up”
At the HUFLIT Faculty of Foreign Languages, M.A. Tran My Uyen (Vice Dean) goes by many names. Some call her “Ms My”; her students call her “mother”. Colleagues often compare her to Mother Au Co with a hundred children. Yet to become the “mother” of the lecture hall she is today, she went through a profound shift in thinking that completely changed a teaching philosophy built over more than 30 years.

  • “GenZ Major Insights 2026” – Episode 9: Boundless Journeys with HUFLIT’s Tourism and Hospitality Programs
Many students choose the Tourism and Hospitality field simply because they love to travel. But passion alone is not enough to pursue this field in the long run. What matters more is understanding the nature of the discipline, its professional requirements, and the qualities needed to grow in a professional service environment.
