Accordingly, HCMC University of Foreign Languages – Information Technology (HUFLIT) in collaboration with the the Center for Education Accreditation – Ho Chi Minh City National University (CEA-VNUHCM) organized the training course “Evaluation of Education Quality at the Grassroots Level” to enhance the awareness of the staff and faculty of HUFLIT about the requirements and importance of the self-assessment of education quality at the grassroots level according to Circular No. 12/2017/TT-BGDĐT.
In the first phase of the training course, nearly 60 participants included representatives from the Presidential Board, Heads/Directors of various departments, as well as specialists responsible for quality assurance in different units.
On behalf of HUFLIT, Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan – Secretary of the Party Committee/HUFLIT President, expressed gratitude to the experts for supporting HUFLIT in training key personnel in education quality, contributing to ensuring and enhancing the quality of training, meeting the requirements of self-assessment activities, and preparing for the evaluation of education quality at the grassroots level in the future. This is a central activity, a turning point in the development to maintain the strengths, brand, and competitive capacity of HUFLIT. HUFLIT also requested the participants to fully engage in the training content and strive to gain more experience in implementing self-assessment and achieving the set goals.
In the training course reports, the trainers included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Ngoc Quynh Lam – Director of the CEA and Mr. Truong Chi Hien – Education Accreditation Inspector. The training class was provided with an overview of the education accreditation standards at grassroots level (including 25 criteria and 111 indicators); the structure of the self-assessment report and related regulations; PDCA principles in the implementation of activities at HUFLIT. Additionally, the experts also guided and trained the participants on how to efficiently operate the internal quality assurance system; preparations for external evaluation; explanations and discussions about the quality assessment standards at the grassroots level set by the Ministry of Education and Training; the application of these standards in practice; and introduced relevant reference materials and other essential content.
