1. COURSE SELECTION

1.1 Vietnamese Language and Culture

  • This course is for students who would like to study the language and discover the culture of Vietnam.
  • This course is available in Korean, Japanese or English.

1.2 Regular Courses for International Students

  • These courses are for students who would like to study regular course as HUFLIT students.
  • These courses are available in English only.
  • List of available courses:International Relations, Public Relations, Business Administration, International Business, English Language, Tourism and Travel Services Management, Hotel Management, Finance and Banking.

2. HUFLIT REGULATIONS

2.1 Attendance

  • In the event that absence occurs more than 20% of semester duration, the student will be prohibited from taking final examination (score of zero (0) will be recorded).
  • On the examination date, the student who is late from 10 minutes onwards for writing tests and 05 minutes onwards for listening tests will not be allowed to enter the test/examination room and the score of zero (0) will be recorded.

2.2 Examination

  • Almost the tests will take place in the middle and at the end of the semester. Re-sitting examination will not be available in any circumstances.
  • Your HUFLIT Student ID is required during examination: you must present your current HUFLIT Student ID Card when attending examinations. If you do not have your ID card with you, you will be refused for entry into the examination room and you may fail your course. In this case, you will be directed to the Department of Educational Testing and Quality Assurance to obtain documentation certifying your identification, allowing you to enter the exam room. Extra exam time will not be given to students who do not have a current HUFLIT student ID card readily available. Lateness on the examination date, the above attendance regulation will be applied and the score of zero (0) will be recorded.

Due to internal constraints, HUFLIT will not support any early examination request. Students are required to strictly follow the examination schedule, including mid-term and final examination.

3. ASSESSMENT*

  • Assignment and class participation: 20-40%
  • Mid-term exam: 20-30%
  • Final exam: 40-60%

4. CREDIT SYSTEM AND GRADING

Grade Score Range Interpretation of Academic Quality and Competence
Excellent 3.60−4.00 Outstanding Achievement. This level signifies superior command of the subject matter, exceptional critical analysis, problem-solving skills, and a capacity for original, innovative work. Students consistently exceed learning objectives and demonstrate readiness for advanced research or high-level professional roles. They are typically viewed as top talent.
Very good 3.20−3.59 High Level of Competence. Students at this level exhibit a strong, consistent understanding of all core concepts and can apply theoretical knowledge effectively. They meet all learning objectives robustly and are well-prepared for competitive graduate programs and demanding career paths.
Good 2.50−3.19 Satisfactory/Accreditation Standard Met. This score indicates full compliance with the minimum quality standards and learning outcomes set by the program. Students are competent, reliable, and possess the foundational knowledge required for entry-level professional roles. They are deemed qualified to graduate.
Ordinary 2.00−2.49 Basic/Minimal Acceptance. Performance meets the bare minimum threshold for passing. Students demonstrate basic knowledge but often lack depth in critical thinking or specialized application. This level signals a need for significant improvement to be competitive in the job market or pursue graduate studies.
Weak 1.00−1.99 Deficient/At Risk. Performance is below the minimum acceptable standard. There are serious gaps in core knowledge and failure to meet several key learning objectives. Students require immediate, intensive academic intervention to avoid academic probation or dismissal.
Poor 0.00−0.99 Unsatisfactory/Failure. This score represents a complete failure to meet the fundamental learning outcomes. The student does not possess the requisite knowledge for the course/program and must typically repeat the course or face academic dismissal.

6. OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT

Two copies of the official transcript will be sent directly (by e-mail and post-mail) to the International Office of your home institution within two months after the end of the exchange semester.
