Message from the President: |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
 |
In the current trend of
open door and integration, of regionalization and globalization, every
region in the world has stepped in, or will advance into the
intellectual civilization and the knowledge-based economy at different
speeds and in different ways. In such a background, foreign languages
and information technology, besides communication skills, are two
vital strategic tools to receive and spread scientific knowledge and
technology. Without foreign languages, there will be no international
cooperation. Without information technology, we cannot "hold hands to
make a big circle". Without information technology, we can neither
shorten the time nor narrow the vast distance in this race with both
cooperation and fierce competition. |
|
Foreseeing this inevitable prospect, HUFLIT
founders have decided to hand these two strategic tools to the younger
generation and search for effective ways to utilize them to convey professional
knowledge to the students following the tendency of diversifying majors and
training fields together with the growth of the teaching staff whose
professional skills and knowledge have been continuously upgraded either in Viet
Nam or in the other countries. Our teachers' great efforts and responsibility
for HUFLIT's youths and the expansion of international cooperation have helped
HUFLIT develop firmly, though very modestly still carrying HUFLIT's
impression.
After the first stage striving hard for building
and increasing a qualified teaching staff, expanding the campus and equipping
with more facilities, HUFLIT is concentrating on the new crucial tasks. From now
to 2010, our will and energy is especially saved for improving the curriculum,
the content of the courses as well as the teaching and learning methods with the
awareness of regularly improving managerial skills and updating knowledge,
enhancing the active guiding role of the teachers, encouraging self-study among
both teachers and students, and encouraging the students to find effective
learning methods for themselves, i.e. individualizing self-study. HUFLIT
believes in its own orientation which was experienced with the quintessence of
education of other universities in Viet Nam and in foreign countries strictly
applied at the same time to adjust ourselves cautiously with the aim of carrying
out our immutable ambition: providing Ho Chi Minh City, the southern provinces
and the country with future owners who are rich in knowledge, dynamic,
creative, passionate for study in their lifetime, take the initiative to enrich
themselves and the country for the cause of "making the people prosperous,
the nation powerful, and the society fair, democratic, and civilized".
On our way of development,
HUFLIT desire to have more international cooperation on the basic of equality,
bilateral benefits, and readiness to listen to pedagogic feedback from the
others modestly, open-heartedly, and respectfully in order to gradually improve the
curriculums, the content of the courses, the teaching and learning methods, and
even the managerial skills, enhancing our national indentity, academic and
modern characteristics, multilateral co_ordination and international integration. |
